Players & clubs

Sparring sessions

Sparring is the lightweight way to organise a casual hit between players or two clubs, with scores and standings tracked.

Create a session

  1. 1Give the session a name and (optionally) name the two sides or clubs, a banner, and your courts.
  2. 2Add players one at a time — search a name to link their athlopadel account, type a name for a guest, or tap “+ Add me”. Players pair up two at a time.
  3. 3Choose fixed pairs, or let the app shuffle partners; set how many matches to play and the format.
  4. 4The draw divides the matches across your courts into rounds — one match per court per round, and nobody is double-booked in a round.

Score & standings

  • Enter each match’s score; the live side-vs-side tally updates as you go.
  • Choose how the winner is decided — games won or matches won — with the “Winner by” switch.
  • Per-player standings are tracked, and results lock once the first score is in so the draw stays fair.
  • Edit the session details (name, sides, date, venue, courts) right up until the first score — then they lock.

Sharing, co-creators & joining

  • Tap Share to send the public live page; on a finished session the same menu offers Save image — a branded athlopadel result card saved straight to your phone’s photos.
  • Invite co-creators from the Share menu (by their account email) to help run the session — adding players, entering scores and the draw, all in parallel.
  • Played as a guest? On the finished result page a “Claim your games” prompt pulls that record into your account — you confirm it’s you first. (You won’t see it if you’re already a player in the session.)
